OUR MISSION

At Ball Out Baseball, our mission is to empower young athletes to reach their full potential both on and off the field. We are dedicated to providing high-quality baseball instruction that focuses on developing fundamental skills, enhancing game knowledge, and fostering a love for the sport. Through our clinics, camps, and private lessons, we aim to create a positive and supportive environment where players can build confidence, improve their performance, and develop a strong work ethic.

Our goal is to not only prepare players for success in baseball but also to instill values such as teamwork, perseverance, and sportsmanship that will benefit them throughout their lives. MEET THE COACHES

BEN BURMAN

Former Susquehanna University Infielder | High School Baseball Coach | Owner, Ball Out Baseball

Ben Burman is a former collegiate baseball player, high school coach, and the owner of Ball Out Baseball, a youth baseball training organization based in the Delaware County, Pennsylvania area. A native of Wallingford, PA, Burman attended The Episcopal Academy before continuing his playing career at Susquehanna University.

At Susquehanna University, Burman was a three-year starter and a key contributor on teams that were nationally ranked as high as 15th in the country. Known for his versatility and advanced baseball IQ, he played six different positions during his collegiate career—first base, second base, shortstop, third base, pitcher, and catcher—highlighting a well-rounded and comprehensive understanding of the game. He finished his career with 127 hits, ranking 21st all-time in program history, along with 25 doubles. Burman was also part of two Landmark Conference Championship teams, helping lead the River Hawks to multiple NCAA Tournament appearances, including a run to the Johns Hopkins Regional Semifinal and a signature opening-round victory over No. 7 nationally ranked TCNJ.

Since graduating, Burman has transitioned into coaching, working extensively in premier high school baseball throughout the Delaware County area. He began his coaching career at The Episcopal Academy (2020–2022), where he played a key role in player development and program growth. He later moved into an assistant coaching role at Friends’ Central School, continuing to mentor and develop varsity-level athletes.

Through his coaching and private instruction, Burman has coached 30+ players who have gone on to play college baseball, emphasizing fundamentals, confidence, and long-term development. He is the founder and owner of Ball Out Baseball, a training organization dedicated to developing players through camps, clinics, private lessons, and offseason training, blending collegiate-level experience with modern player development methods.

SAMMY BURMAN

Outfielder, Catholic University of America

Sammy Burman is a senior outfielder on the Catholic University baseball team. Standing 5-10 and weighing 190 pounds, he bats left-handed and throws right-handed. A native of Wallingford, Pennsylvania, Burman attended Friends’ Central School, where he developed into a standout position player before continuing his collegiate career.

At Catholic University, Burman has been a key contributor in the lineup and in the field, earning multiple honors including ABCA Third Team All-Region, All-Landmark Second Team, and Academic All-District recognition. During his junior season, he appeared in 45 games with 44 starts, batting .353 with 61 hits, including 11 doubles, two triples, and four home runs. He drove in 40 runs, scored 36 times, and led the team with 10 stolen bases. His performance included several standout games, such as a 4-for-5 effort with a home run and three RBI versus Coast Guard and a 7-for-14 showing in a series against Wilkes.
Catholic University of America

Off the field, Burman has balanced athletics with academics, pursuing a major in education. Before transferring to Catholic University, he played at Hofstra University and earned three All-Main Line and two All-Main Line picks in high school. He comes from a baseball family—his father, Marty, played at York College and his brothers, Alex and Ben, also played collegiate baseball.
